Hi Marina,

My friend Colleen Murchison did her masters studying how human activity affects the behaviour of shorebirds during migration stopovers on Vancouver Island. One of the things she looked at specifically was the presence of dogs. Her research paper is available freely here: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/304612226_Human_Activity_and_Habitat_Characteristics_Influence_Shorebird_Habitat_Use_and_Behavior_at_a_Vancouver_Island_Migratory_Stopover_Site. She is working for Parks Canada now and I’m sure she would be happy to talk about her findings if you are still looking for information.

Best wishes!
